[comp.windows.x] Version 1.0 of the C++ Widget Wrapper Library available

jdf@lri.lri.fr (Daniel Fekete) (10/25/90)

Version 1.0 of the C++ Widget Wrapper Library is now available
--------------------------------------------------------------

		     Widget Encapsulation Library
			    Motif Widgets
			    Athena Widgets

An easier way to use widgets in C++ applications

WWL is a library which defines C++ classes around X Toolkit Widgets.
It is intended to simplify the task of C++ code writers when using the
Toolkit by providing them with C++ objects, methods, type checking and
several utility functions and classes.

WWL have been tested under SunOs4.0.3 on sun3 and sun4, HPUX version
6.5 and 7.0 and Ultrix 4.0 on DECstation 3100 and 5000. It should work
on most other UNIX systems without too many problems.

WWL Distribution
----------------

WWL is distributed as a tar file with all the source, documentation
and example. The file is available using anonymous ftp from
lri.lri.fr:

Can someone copy this to this side of the Atlantic for easier (i.e.
cheaper) access?

Has anyone been able to get this file? I have nothing but problems
when I try to get it. The last time I tried, it died of a broken
pipe (whatever that is) after transferring at a rate of about 16
bytes per second (no, I'm not missing a K in there!).

If someone's successfully gotten this, can they make it available
via anonymous ftp? Thanx for any help.

I've had exactly the same problem and would also be interested
in getting it from another site, if someone can succesfully get it.
