We have recently installed xwindows on a sun3/50 network (archaic eh?) Half the time on the startup though it gives that typical pipe broken error that occurs. It's X11 R4 compiled with gcc1.37 and the proper options have been chosen like struct-return. We also did the ldconfig on the system. The only thing that I haven't tried is getting a copy of Xsun from someone else. And since there aren't any other sun 3/50's around here that I know about with bw2 displays I was wondering if someone else out there with a sun 3/50, bw2 display and 68881 configuration would be able to uuencode the file and mail it to me? I'd like to see if that helps any of the problems we're having. Ain't troubleshooting grand?? thanks Doug Hughes Penn State University
