I'd go a step further, and require the user to type the names to
be cross-posted under (the current group would be included by default):

	The original note was in net.news.group, net.women, and
	net.religion in addition to its appearance here in net.news.
	If it is necessary to cross post this response, please list
	groups to be posted to: <user response>

Don't make it easy.  Better yet, eliminate automatic cross posting and
make users specifically copy notes to other groups.

The default should by [y] for the first group in the list, as that is the
fan-in behaviour that would be desireable.

(Of course I'm running notes, so I wouldn't have to worry about it, but it
would be nice to not have to read a message 5 times (at least enough of it
to hit 'j'.)
