I've just installed 2.10.2. For those of you who were lazy, like me, I STRONGLY recommend it! Some nifty features: 1) It knows about distributions, aliases, moderated groups. 2) Postnews is a C program, and is pretty smart. 3) Vnews! a readnews program for screens (curses based). 4) cbatchnews - a better news batcher. 5) probably other stuff I haven't discovered, yet. Like some old advertisement said ... "I switched, and I'm glad I did!" (Thanks to gatech!spaf for pointing me to a repository of source!) One reason I waited so long is that I was waiting for the oft-rumored 2.10.3. Where the heck is it? Obviously, I gave up waiting, but am still interested. Oh, I almost forgot. As those sharp-eyed among you noticed, (:-) I'm posting this from kitc. The switch-over from eisx that I announced last month has at long last been done. Whew. Gee, I wish *I* had a cutey sign-off line ... -- John Burgess - Local Tools Administrator ATT-IS Labs, So.
