It seems the problem is to cut down on processing, disk storage, and
modem time due to cross postings. Additionally, something seems to be
needed regarding cross posting to net.flame and other worthy groups.
Howzabout:
Any article can have any number of "Newsgroups:", but anything with
more than one newsgroup asks for a followup-to? This followup-to
line would be a requirement, and only one newsgroup would be allowed.
The default would be the first newsgroup selected in the Newsgroup:
line.
Easy to install, and it seems to fit all the criteria as mentioned
above.
