[comp.windows.x] funny effect when running xmoon

mike@hele@ap542.uucp (Mike Hoffmann) (11/14/90)

After having brought X11.4 up successfully, I'm now sort of strolling
through the contrib clients, to see which ones run or not and how much
problems porting them makes.

With "xmoon" I get a funny effect.
The program seems to compile and run with no problems, except that the
single phases of the moon are displayed in the *right* order but in the
*wrong* position in the little 64x64 pixmap window.
All text information is correct as far as I can see.

I looked at the code only to find it full of trigonometry and bit-shifts
and *no* comments for miles :-(

I'm running this on Sinix 5.22, a sort of SYSV-BSD conglomerate, which
is supposed to be XPG III conform.

Cheers
Mike
