I am running X on a Motorola summthing-or-other AND the keyboard, mouse, and screen are connected to the 'pooter using a 'MOTOROLA remote graphics breakout module' On pulling said module to bits, I found one of the AY-3xxxx programmable sound generator - WOW bangs and other interesting noises - HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO IT..... The "remote graphics breakout module" (RGB box) is directly connected to the MVME393/395 graphics board. Hence, the only access to the RGB box is through the Xserver code downloaded to the MC68020/TI34010 that exist on the boards. It's been a while since I dug through the Xserver code but I don't recall any way to manipulate the sound chip for any purposes except the bell (which is controlled by the 68020 as I remember).
