Does anybody know about the program xsnap? It is supposed to cut an abitrary part of the screen and display it in a separate window. This program must have existed ages ago at our site - at least I have found a manual page. However, I couldn't find any sources, neither locally nor on expo. It would be fine if someone had a pointer to xsnap or to a program that can do the same. -- Dipl.-Inform. Rainer Klute klute@irb.informatik.uni-dortmund.de Univ. I have posted in comp.sources.x and put in contrib on expo.lcs.mit.edu a new
xsnap I have made by incorporating into the old xsnap asnap features (atk and
xwd output formats, and region options) which I have debugged: when specifying
the region in args it was dumping core, and when the region was not completly
specified it was leaving the X server grabbed. In addition I have added code to
provide xpm output format - which I think is very useful to quickly define icons
with tools such as idraw, as long as we don't have any pixmap editor.
I hope this helps.

I was advised that xsnap has been put on expo.lcs.mit.edu (18.30.0.212) just one day after I posted my query. -- Dipl.-Inform. Rainer Klute klute@irb.informatik.uni-dortmund.de Univ.
