ultrix 4.0
After patching (1-18) building, and installing x11r4 (obtained
via ftp from uunet.uu.net) under ultrix 4.0 on one of our
DS3100's, the server and clients seem to work fine. However,
the xlogin window comes up in black and white (rather than color)
and the following messages are displayed on the console:

after 5 requests (2 known processed) with 0 events remaining
XIO: fatal IO error 9 (Bad file number) on X server ":0.0"
----------
I should mention that I did a build prior to installing the patches
and everything seemed to work fine. Can someone give me some idea
of what may be causing this behaviour.
