There is a sample program in ch. 20 of "Advanced X Window Application Prog-
ramming" by Johnson and Reichard which demonstrates connections with
multiple servers.  I haven't tried it out.

Anyway, if you want more information on this program (mchat) send me email.
Mchat is simple example that shows connections to multiple displays
using the Xlib C library (that is, no toolkits).
