Hello X and Sun Daemons: We would like to support foreign keyboards with our product. Instead of my reinventing the wheel I was hoping someone could send me xmodmap scripts that would setup X-11.4 for french and/or german keyboards. (or any others for that matter) Thanx in advance Glen Rudie

It has an attractive user interface, which makes switching between multiple languages a breeze. The specification is defined in the OPEN LOOK Functional Specification in Section 14. It provides a simple interface to a lot of useful funtionality. For example, you can go into a transient German mode, type something in German and pop back to English Mode, all without knowing the complexites of xmodmap or keysym tables. You can also set the keyboard to some foreign langauge mapping permanently with a single keystroke. A keymap for the current language setting will also be displayed on the screen. The user can either use the mouse and select the keys from the Virtual Keyboard on the Screen or use his physical keyboard. The next release of OpenWindows will have this OPEN LOOK specified facility. nataraj/. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Natarajan.S. 415-336-5798 (off) nataraj@sun.com -----------------------------------------------------------------------
