1. DISPLAY. Suppose I start an X terminal at A, then connect to its host at B then rlogin to C. How can I arrange that C automatically sets DISPLAY to point at the right terminal? 2. FONTS. The tape has a large suite of bdf fonts, and it seems that you must generate one lot of snf fonts for the sun and another for a H-P and yet another for a H-P terminal and so on and so on... and then you have to repeat all this performance with TEX fonts. Is there any way to have just one set of font files (presumably bdf) and when a user asks for a missing font the server will try to compile it? 3. Please can anybody give advice on: how many X terminals can you reasonably support with a Hewlett-Packard 835 with 16M memory? The commonest applications seem to be Emacs, Tex, and modest-size compilations. Sorry if these Q are frequently asked; I am not on this list, so dont know. Thank you for advice, Mark
