My vroot.h header file also did a good job at getting xpostit to work again under tvtwm. It is a general quick fix to many programs that fail to work under tvtwm in their original form. It currently works well with xwd, xprop, xplaces, xpostit, xphoon, xaqua, xfroot, etc. The problems with xwd and xprop (only reporting non-sticky windows) seem to have gone away with the recent tvtwm patch4. I put vroot.h in ~ftp/contrib on expo.lcs.mit.edu. -- Andreas Stolcke International Computer Science Institute stolcke@icsi.Berkeley.EDU 1957 Center St., Suite 600, Berkeley, CA 94704 (415) 642-4274 ext. 126

Well, most problems; xprop still reports another window when the root window is selected. I'm using your vroot.h dated 9/7/90 and tvtwm patch level 4 under X11R4 on a Sun 3/80, SunOS 4.0.3. I'm not saying that this is a big deal, but for completeness, it would be nice to get it *all* to work. -Gary
