Xcard and Xpeg Users:
First an apology. I haven't been supporting these programs like
I should have been! I have just changed jobs, wandered across the
country for a while, found a new place to live, blah blah blah...
Lots of reasons, but still no excuse.
I would like to start improving both tools, but don't want to
reinvent the wheel!
So:
1) If you sent me a patch for either program please send
it again (to this address). I got them at the old
address, thought I cut a tape, but can't seem to find it
anywhere. It is probably in storage with all the rest
of my stuff (which I won't see for a few months).
Lots of people had some good patches and I really want
to incorporate them, if I had them.
2) If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
3) If you would like to act as a beta site please email and
let me know what architectures you can support. The first
release of Xcard and Xpeg both had problems on non Sun3
machines (what I developed them on). We will try to get
a little more organized and methodical for future releases.
For those who don't know what Xcard and Xpeg are:
Xcard - a cardfile for X, allows sorting, searching
and templates for cards. Lots of uses, loosely
based on similar program shipped with MS Windows.
Xpeg - a graphical pegboard for keeping track of locations of people
on your network.
Both use the Athena Widgets.
Thanks.
