[comp.windows.x] ESIX X386 and xclock

mhoffos@janus.mtroyal.ab.ca (12/13/90)

First off, I would like to thank everyone involved (esp. Thomas Roell) for the
X386 server. Fantastic!! However .... in the ESIX version, I can't get xclock
to work. It dumps core with a seg. violation. Interestingly enough, when I
obtained the sources for xclock and recompiled it, it still does the same
thing. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

This is a bug in the shared libXaw_s.a. It is located in mit/lib/Xaw/clock.c.
Just a missing extern befor the declarartion of localtime().

An offizial bugfix will be included in the next release. There will be also
support of the GENOA 6400, if anybody is intrested in this.
