Hello xperts, RE: Questions about the XWD format. 1: In the XWDFileHeader structure, what does the `ncolors' member represent? I know it says that it is the number of color structures. Does this refer to the XColor structures that follow thus implying that many color as well? 2: If the `ncolors' member doesn't represent the actual number of unique colors in the XWD image, how can this number be determined? In a PBMPLUS utility, `ppmtoxwd', this member does NOT get the actual number of colors but the number of colormap entries. I modified `ppmtoxwd' to print out the actual number of colors and that many XColor structures. `xwud' and HP's own library function `XHPFileToPixmap' (which reads a XWD file into a pixmap) works fine but `xloadimage' doesn't. Reply via email or to comp.windows.x. Thanks in advance, Gary Fong gary@popeye.sfsu.edu (Internet) Exploring System Earth San Francisco State University (Meat is MURDER!! in my opinion)
