Does anyone keep a semi-current list of X products out there? What I am looking
for would have categories such as :
Interface Builders
------------------
TeleUse Contact: xyz...
Product description...
Price...
XBuild
..
etc
Spreadsheets
------------
Word Processors
---------------
etc...
If no one is doing this yet, I would volunteer to start it and would like to
post it once a month or so (depending on interest)!

I recently put together a tutorial on user interface development tools,
which lists some of same; what I found was over 300!! tools that could be used
to develop user interfaces (that are actively promoted as such), with new
ones coming out (or new information about existing ones) each week.
As one could probably imagine, this was an enormous job; I ended up only
listing the 100 or so that are of high technical merit, in wide use, or
otherwise interesting. Keeping current (and wading through the reams of
vendor pitches) is not something I would recommend for anyone not
masochistically inclined (or otherwise induced [1/2 8={)]).
If you want a good start on this topic, I would suggest going to the X
Conference and attending Tutorial ID: F-BUILDERS, in which 11 different
systems will be presented.
