We have a SparcStation 330, running SunOS 4.0.3, with CG9 and GPSI graphics boards. We built the binaries, and all looked well, but whem we fire up X we always get: Fatal server error no screens found (or words to that effect) The documentation appears to say that CG9 isn't directly supported, but can be gotten around by specifying cgtwo0. So we tried: xinit .xinitrc -- -fp path -co path -dev /dev/cgtwo0 (path is where fonts and rgb.* are) but we get the same results. What are we doing wrong? Nowhere could I find where I needed to change the config files (i.e. the standard sun.cf looked correct). constype returns gp2, which agrees with the documentation claiming that cgtwo0 should be used. Thanks for any help ... -- Brian Russ CSE Department, UC San Diego ..!sdcsvax!bruss bruss@beowulf.ucsd.edu
