I'm having a problem compiling X11/R4 for a sun3 under SunOs 4.1 . The "make World" completes with errors wherever the program mkfontdir is run. That is, when it is "making all" in ../fonts/bdf/misc , ../fonts/bdf/75dpi and ../fonts/bdf/100dpi. The errors look like : ../../.././fonts/bdftosnf/bdftosnf -t 8x16rk.bdf >8x16rk.snf ../../.././fonts/mkfontdir/mkfontdir . ld.so: libXmu.so.4: not found *** Error code 127 `all' not remade because of errors It appears that libXmu.so.4.0 is in the directory that the Makefile for mkfontdir expects it to be, but I'm not real comfortable with these imake files. Has anyone else seen this and more importantly, does anyone know how to get around it. I tried out some of the clients and things like xterm work, but xinit also dies with the same message from ld.so. I assume that it has something to do with the shared libs, but what do I know?
