[comp.windows.x] XView for SVR4

jlo@elan.Elan.COM (Jeff Lo) (12/22/90)

Has anybody gotten the XView release 2.0 source to compile and work under
System V Release 4 (SVR4) on and 3/486 machine? Has anybody even tried?
I about about to start working on this and would appreciate any suggestions
or ideas anybody has about this.

I haven't tried on an 3/486 machine but we compile and run Xview rel. 2.0
under SVR4 on a SunSparc1 without problems even though XView is _NOT_ SVR4
compliant i.e. _DON'T_ run it through lint!!!!!!!!! Sun or at least Nokia
told us that XView rel. 3.0 '91, '92, ... would (probably) be a SVR4 version.
