Jef Poskanzer <jef@well.sf.ca.us> has made an "Extended Portable Bitmap Toolkit". You can use two of the programs in that package like this: rasttopbm raster.file | pbmtoxbm > bitmap.file Sometimes "pbmtoxbm" produces "Bad magic number - not a pbm file". I don't know why. - Rune
