[comp.windows.x] PD X-window Wordprocessing Programs?

km@mathcs.emory.edu (Ken Mandelberg) (01/06/91)

Its a real credit to the X community that there are a number of very nice
public domain graphing and drawing utilities, which in many ways are as good
as commerical software (and in a key way better -- source!).

Are there also PD X wordprocessors of some sophistication, that would appeal
to people used to commerical wordprocessors (word, wordperfect, ..)?
Personally I use text formaters (troff,TeX) and wouldn't know a good
wordprocessor from a bad one, but the question seems to come up.
