The proceedings from the European X User Group conference (EXUG'90, Guildford, England, Sept. 1990) are now available. An order form is attached. (Also, I'll be at the MIT X Technical Conference next week, and will have some copies with me). The European X User Group held its 1990 Conference at the University of Surrey, Guildford, England in September. It attracted many of the orginal designers and developers of X, from MIT, Digital, and elsewhere. Speakers included: Paul Asente (designer of the X Toolkit), Jim Fulton (NCD, ex MIT X-Consortium), Jim Gettys (Digital, and ex Project Athena) Todd Newman (Digital), Keith Packard (MIT X-Consortium), Chris Peterson (ICS, ex MIT X-Consortium). The bound A4-sized Conference Proceedings include all the conference papers, and contain information on topics not readily available elsewhere, e.g. Using Selections in practice. X over OSI The Editres interactive resource editor. as well as reviews of X hardware available, program development tools and techniques, extensions to X, and some X applications.
