[net.news] Keywords don't exclude newsgroups Re: Keyword based news

As some of you recall, the modified K news proposal included newsgroups.
A newsgroup is just a special case of a keyword. I proposed keeping them around
both to help interface with B news and to solve some of the problems in subject
overload. Newsgroups are general topics while keywords can be both general
and specific topics. In addition to placing specific keywords on an article,
users would be requested to place general "newsgroup" level keywords as
well, of the form "n=space" or "n=unix", or during the interface period,
"n=net.unix-wizards".

Also, users were always required in the K news system to place one keyword
in their article form a special class of descriptive keywords, which included
things like:
"original information", "followup", "flame", "opinion", "reprint" and "query".

The theory here is that all articles fall in one of the above categories
and it would be great to be able to exclude things like flames, queries or
followups.
