[comp.windows.x] ActiveIcon - Anyone have one for X11R4?

chaney@ms.uky.edu (Dan Chaney) (01/22/91)

Back in the dawn of time, well, X10 at least, there was a thing called
(to the best of my memory) ActiveIcon. This allowed you to iconize a
window and have a small (roughly icon sized) window that would scroll
as input came to the window and would accept input from the keyboard
(with the mouse positioned...) without having to de-iconify first.

This disappeared with X10 but seemed such a useful thing, I was wondering
if anyone out there had brought one up under X11 (R4, pref)

Please reply via email and I will summarize what I learn....
