Here are the results of the inquiry (if you find additional information, tell us): From: sunquest!wendy@bloom-beacon.mit.edu (Wendy Debray) Organization: Sunquest Information Systems, Tucson Subject: Summary of Touch X terminal responses A while ago I posted a message asking about touch screen interfaces for X Terminals. I received some responses, here is a summary of them. Thank you to all who replied. from:========================================================================= David B. Lewis Lewis, Trachtenberg & Associates (LTA) Note new address!: david@lta.com +1 617 225 0366 None that I know of; but there is a product called XTouch which does what you want. It's advertised in the back of UnixWorld and Digital Review, I think. I've also used a touch screen, possibly that product, with X on a 386/ix. This was hosted by Interactive, so you might check with them. from:========================================================================= Tim Roper uunet!munnari!labtam.labtam.oz.au!timr We, ie. Labtam, offer a 19" inch Surface Acoustic Wave touch screen option on the Xengine terminals. I am not sure about other sizes, please ask. Unfortunately we do not market in the USA yet, but maybe I can answer technical questions? from:======================================================================== Rick Kamp Tektronix, Inc. rickka@orca.WV.tek.com (503)685-2728 Tektronix provides an X terminal with a touch screen. Thompson [uunet|sequent]!dcasqnt!randyt I was talking to a guy from Tektronics today who happened to mention that a company called Trident Data Systems was a major reseller of their terminal in the government market. One of the reasons for this was that they equipped them with touch screens. note: Trident Systems (703) 273-1012 offers XTouch, a touch screen solution. Currently, they have interfaced with Tektronix X terminals.
