[comp.windows.x] How to track pixels drawn?

Hi,
	I am a little new to X and as such the question might look silly to
some never the less, here goes:

If I use standard Xlib fuctions like XDrawLine, XDrawArc etc. is there a
way I can keep track of the pixels plotted. Ideally I would like to print
them out to a separate file.
