a friend of mine has a brand new data general aviion workstation on her desk. (anybody remember those stories in the newspaper about the big contract the federal government recently awarded to dg amid some controversy?) while the dg/ux software distribution which they're running does include X11, it does not appear to include imake, thus making it hard to compile clients which provide only an Imakefile. (e.g. xlock version 2.1, as taken from expo.lcs.mit.edu -- sure, there's a Makefile there, but all it does is call imake to build a new Makefile.) do any of you x/imake wizards have any good suggestions about how to rectify the problem? clearly, it would be nice to simply install imake. but my limited understanding of imake leads me to believe that they'd also need to get configuration files that are appropriate for dg/ux ... would these be (relatively) easily obtained? anybody at dg listening? email replies are best; i sometimes find it hard to keep up with the bandwidth here. kirk -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kirk johnson `Eat blue dogs tuna@masala.lcs.mit.edu and dig life.'
