Can anyone direct my to any bibliographic system that has some kind of X interface? Alternatively, what bibliographic systems other than "bib" are available for UNIX?

If you use BibTeX, addbib-tex (I think it comes with the LaTeX distribution) will allow you to add/edit a BibTeX database interactively. In addition, if perl is installed on your system, I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND a perl script called "lookbibtex" which can query BibTeX databases and extract complete entries. lokbibtex is available with the other scripts in the perl distribution. I have a patch to it which makes it less restrictive in the BiBteX format it expects -- email me if interested. Narayan Sriranga Raja.
