I am trying to find out how to control how long the X server waits before it starts auto-repeating a key (ie, how long you have to hold the key down before it starts repeating). The default threshold seems to be a little short for a sun4. Please reply via mail to csa@stratus.com. Chris Arthur

This is implementation-specific. You may or may not be able to control it. For the MIT server, at least one ddx layer (the Sun one) provides command-line options (-ar1 and -ar2, I think) to the server to control the autorepeat parameters.
