What is the current status of the multi-buffering extension to X? I'd like to get the latest documents, and find out if there is a mailing list for discussion. I have the paper dated 9/11/89 from the R4 tapes (Actually, I'd like to get this in troff source or postscript or whatever - are these ftpable? What is the current status of the multi-buffering extension to X?
About the same as in R4. We are still waiting for sufficient proof
of concept, meaning implementations where buffering is done in hardware,
and implementations using the stereo mechanism.

The latest public document is still the one in R4.
and find out if there is a mailing list for discussion.
