i don't read net.sources.mac, so all i know about shareware is what i've read here. let me get this straight. someone posts something and asks people to send money? what a great concept. how much do they ask for? $1? $10? $100? whatever it is, let me make a pitch. possibly you've heard of pathalias. it's the mail router that gets your mail from there to here. i wrote that. (with steve bellovin; i'll get to him later.) pathalias is great, right? fine, send money. as much as you want. and hey! let's not forget about honey danber! that's me, honey, just to the left of dan and ber. if you're at bell labs, you probably rely on it many times a day. honey danber is great, right? right! send money! i'd be happy to share the take with my esteemable co-authors, but sad to say, they work for phone companies and can't share in my good fortune. send them greeting cards. thanks a million. no pennies please. peter
