[comp.windows.x] XView2.0 and .Xdefaults

chrisp@bilby.cs.uwa.oz.au (Chris Pudney) (02/08/91)

G'day,

Is there a way of getting an XView2.0 application to take notice of
XView resources - i.e. the ones in the XView man page (Window.Scale,
Font.Name, Window.Width, etc)? Or am I constrained to assigning these
resources via the command-line? As an illustration if I contain the line:

*foreground:	100 200 100

in .Xdefaults then my XView2.0 application comes up with a green
foreground but so does every other application. I would rather specify:

xobjects*foreground:	100 200 100

(where xobjects is my application)
in .Xdefaults to obtain a green foreground but this and many other
combinations of capitals and `*'s doesn't have the desired result. What is
wrong!!!???
