I have to do a project for a class and one of my ideas involves an old video game system. What I'd like to do is send the screen to a window, but I am not too sure this is possible. I'd basically need a RF signal -> window, or I might be able to get the video signal before it is converted if I want to mess around inside. As a small compromise, perhaps I could obtain a bit map of the screen and update it now and again? But how do I bitmap? So, I ask for help - is any of this possible? Any sources of code and/or help I should research? I do have a cable TV type cable (like into a VCR or newer TVs; don't know the proper name) with the raster-ready signal. Do conversions exist? I'd like real-time if possible, but any frame skipping just to get it to work is acceptable. Help! Russ Perry perry@rt2.cs.wisc.edu russellp@cae.wisc.edu
