Does anyone have any experience using SERPENT (MIT's UIMS/IDT) on a large project? I'm particularly interested in: How fast is it? Does it use more resources than, say, Motif? How easy is it to modify existing UIL to use SERPENT? Can the intermediate SERPENT code be easily maintained?
