I've run into a rather odd requirement, and I was wondering if anybody out there know of a way to do this under X or Sun OpenWindows. Essentially, we need to demo a standard X application in six different cities at roughly the same time. But, we don't want to have to send six people to six cities to give the demo. Instead, what we'd like to do is set up a six-way conference call, and have the demoee's sit around a Sun at each site. Then, we could run the application on a local site in New York, and the mouse/screen would run identically on all six workstations out in the other cities. The sites are all part of the same WAN, at 256KB (more or less). I was thinking about patching the X event loop to accept a "remote" mouse or keyboard event as if it were a local one. There's a package to do this on the Mac called Timbuktu. Does anybody know of anything similar to do this on the sun, or perhaps a clever hack that will simulate it? Thanks; please respond via email, and I will post a summary. -- David Birnbaum | "It shouldn't suprise anyone when the Lehman Brothers | net messes up; the suprise is that at: davidb@shearson.com | the damn thing works at all!" or: uunet!slcpi!davidb | --unknown
