I need to study the start-up time of a locally-written X application under
a variety of circumstances. The time period I'm interested in lies between the
time the user invokes the command and the time when the application has
finished drawing its initial screen.
The time period can be measured easily by a person with a stopwatch, but
I need a way to automate the process.
Any ideas?
