Is there a standard way of naming X11 bitmap files? Should I call it file.bm, file.xbm, or something else? -- Bill Cheng // UCLA Computer Science Department // (213) 206-7135 3277 Boelter Hall // Los Angeles, California 90024 // USA william@CS.UCLA.EDU ...!{uunet|ucbvax}!cs.ucla.edu!william

Is there a standard way of naming X11 bitmap files? Should I call it file.bm, file.xbm, or something else? Bill, the current conventions SEEM TO BE: .xbm for bitmap files .xbc for cursor files (also bitmaps) .xbcm for cursor mask files (also bitmaps) i didn't make these up, but they seem to make sense to me and seem to be in use by many others (that's how i noticed them in the first place...) hope this helps! regards, dlb ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ David L.
