Does anybody have a tool which will read colors out of the rgb.txt file, display them in a fashion similar to xshowcmap, and allow the user to click on a color and get the text name of the color clicked on? I understand that the rgb.txt file has more colors than will fit in the color map, so this utility would probably display a given number of colors at once, and allow the user to advance to the next group of colors. -- Alan Foonberg foonberg@aerospace.aero.org

You could also buy a big box of Crayola crayons, which is the origin (by way of an ancient DEC VT240 terminal programming manual) of many of the more obscure colors in rgb.txt. -- /Paul Jensen Digital Equipment Corp. Palo Alto, CA
