Hello, I am looking for a mail tool for X that is similar to the suntools mailtool. I am currently using xbiff, but that is only an icon that tells you whether you have mail or not. If any one knows of one, please e-mail me or post a response here. Thankyou, Bill Fuller

Well, if you have "mh" on your system, then you can use xmh, which is one of the X11 core clients. If you don't have mh (and even if you do), you should definitely check out the Andrew Message System (AMS), which is part of the Andrew system on the X11R3 contrib tape. It's neat stuff. If you happen to have 4 MB Sun 3/50's, you'll want to farm out the "messages" program to your fileserver, though. It's pretty big, and thrashes badly in 4 MB.

We wanted the same thing as you. We finally gave up and started using MH so that we can use XMH. This is working out quite well. MH6.6 is available via anonymous ftp from louie.udel.edu (thanks to everyone who pointed me this way). It should build with no interesting problems on the SUN. A few weeks ago someone asked if there was a X client that provides a graphical interface like Sun's mailtool. I never saw any response and am also looking for such a client. Does one exist? Daryl Huff Hughes Aircraft Co.
