Hi, I have been trying to figure out a way to clear the scrolling region on an xterm. By clear I mean that the saved lines should be flushed and the scollbar should be reset to be the height of the screen. In otherwords none of the lines that were previously scrolled off the screen and saved should be visable. The xterm should look like a fresh xterm that has nothing in the recall buffer. I read the man page on xterm and it seems as though a soft reset *might* do this but the wording is somewhat ambiguous and I can't seem to get it to work. If this is not possible then I appologize for wasting your time. If you know of a way to do this or even that it can be done but you don't remember how, please let me know. We are running X11R4 under SunOS 4.1.1 in case it matters. Thanks for any information that you can supply. --Stephen Hall University of Texas Center for High Performance Computing xxss525@frio.chpc.utexas.edu ! internet XXSS525@UTCHPC ! bitnet UTCHPC::XXSS525 ! decnet (512)471-2459 ! ma_bellnet
