The management here at AIT has decided that it wants; nay, make that that it desprately NEEDS TO RIGHT NOW THIS INSTANT!!; me to port our CLX based user interface system to on top of a theoretically available lisp osf/motif toolkit which works with Lucid lisp and which is supported on both unix and vax VMS platforms. Further, this susposed toolkit with suspossedly generate UIL files for the complex widgets to allow twiddling by non developers. I interperate this as meaning the following: in order that i not be FIRED very soon, i must begin writing my own lisp to C bindings to call out to the osf/motif toolkit. A three month at least 24 hour a day NIGHTMARE!! Does anyone out there now of any lisp osf/motif toolkits?? anything!, as long as it runs on Lucid and provides osf/motif so that my pictures will look like "the classic 'document model' as exemplified by the xmeditor" simple text editor demo that seems to come as a demo with the osf/motif stuff. If it generates UIL files, all the better!, but not essential. Please!, please email any and all pointers to any such toolkits and/or their vendors directly to me. (i will be delighted to collect and post an annotated summary of these, if there is any interest). I very much need to start pushing the purchase orders through as soon as can be if i am going to be able to get anything in house in order to even start using it before magament's deadline comes.
