COMPUTER SCIENCE SYSTEMS MANAGER

Duties : Management of a VAX/VMS system and a Pyramid UNIX system, plus
an assortment of micros and workstations; software maintenance
for CSNet and system software; monitoring of hardware maintenance
(under contract); supervise student workers.
Environment : The department offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees
in computer science and computer engineering. The equipment
which is the responsibility of the Department Systems Manager
is used exclusively for the research and teaching of the
department.
Qualifications : A bachelor's degree and management or systems programming
experience are required. Experience with a VMS system is
essential; experience in a UNIX environment is desirable.
