Is there a way to completely disable DXSession manager and run some other window manager on DEC's X terminals? I routinely do this on my Decstation 5000 but the session manager seems to come on when the terminal is turned on and I dont see a way of getting rid of this. Thanks for any suggestions. Vijay S. Somewhere in the "customize" menu is a little button to allow alternate window managers: if the button is lit up then starting a window manager displaying on the screen will make the X-terminal window manager go away. You can't get rid of the terminal manager (a window provided by the terminal)--and I don't think you would want to since without it you can't do a great deal with the terminal .... -- John Haxby, Definitively Wrong.
