[comp.windows.x] Sun screenblank vs. X server screen saver

chuck@Morgan.COM (Chuck Ocheret) (03/20/91)

A few users in our Tokyo office are complaining that Sun`s screenblank
program and the MIT X server`s screen saver and interacting badly if they
both happen to kick in - that is the screen stays blanked no matter what.
I haven't observed this problem in several NY and London locations.

If anyone can shed some light please let me know.

Thanks,
~chuck

If you start Sun's screenblank on your workstation in NY, and the
screen saver on your workstation in London, I think that
shouldn't have any effect on all you workstations in Tokyo.
