First off, does anyone know of a set of freely available
widgets which replace/augment the Athena widget set? I've heard that
HP has a set, but don't know about availablity.
thanks...rj

Much of the core technology in the HP widgets was adopted by the Open Software Foundation and is now known as OSF/Motif. The Motif widget set is supported on every major platform that supports the X Window System -- which could be read as "freely available," but not necessarily "free." For availability of Motif for your workstation, contact your sales or support folks. (If you are on a Sun, you may need to contact a third-party software vendor to get Motif. See the March issue of UnixWorld for the latest scoop of Motif on Sun.) ________________________________ Dex Smith Learning Products Engineer Interface Technology Operation Hewlett-Packard Company Corvallis, Oregon dex@hpcvlx.hp.com
