[comp.windows.x] kterm and kinput

shyam@atc1.atc.com (Shyam Mittur) (03/28/91)

Is there anyone who has built kterm and kinput off the R4 distribution?

I was able to build kterm and it seems to work fine as a xterm. However,
displaying README.j, which has the escape sequences for JIS Kanji switching,
I see black blocks in place of the Kanji characters. Looks like a font
problem, but the server does have a14 and k14.

I could not build kinput, it was looking for some include files that were
not in the distribution?

ah yes...those pesky black squares. :-)
"kterm -fn a14 -fk k14 -fr r14" should do what you want.

These include files (and the corresponding library) are in the Wnn
distribution, as I recall.
