We are currently running DECWindows under Ultrix (UWS 4.1). The XUI widget set .h files exist in the directory /usr/include/X11 The Athena widget set .h and .c files (copied from the X11R4 distribution tape) exist in the directory /usr/include/X11/Xaw The compiled libraries, supplied with UWS, exist in the directory /usr/lib - ie. libXaw.a, libXmu.a, libXui.a etc. When I try to make example programs which include Athena widgets 1) I get redefinition errors for the widget variables 2) I get syntax errors for variables such as XtPointer - ie. undefined. Have we got the Athena .h files in the correct directory ? Do we need to compile the Athena sources and replace the UWS supplied libraries ? Also is it possible to create Athena widgets as children of XUI widgets ? - ie. mixing widget sets. Please e-mail replies to molloyt@ul.ie and I can forward them Tony Molloy / Stephen Byrnes
