My finger is faster than my eye, and I frequently type "n" before realizing that I really do want to read the article that just appeared. Normally this is ok, I can just backup an article with "-". However, if I skip the last article in a newsgroup, "-" won't work. Any suggestions? -- Ken Mandelberg Emory University Dept of Math and CS Atlanta, Ga 30322 {akgua,sb1,gatech,decvax}!emory!km USENET km@emory CSNET km.emory@csnet-relay ARPANET

[ynq]" prompt. Net.foobar should be the group you're interested in. Hit y, and you get a "what next" prompt. Hit P (note capital) and you should go to the last article in the newsgroup, read or not. Please note that I work in "brief" mode, so my prompts above are a bit different from yours. Also, if "P" doesn't work, try "^P" or "p" though, by my recollection, "P" is the one that doesn't care whether the article has been read or not. Good luck. RN is neat! Much appreciation and kudos to it's author. -e -- Ed Greenberg | {hplabs, glacier}!well!micropro!edg MicroPro International Corp. | {ucbvax, decwrl}!dual!micropro!edg San Rafael, California | {lll-crg,ptsfa}!micropro!edg

At the "x unread articles in 'newsgroup' [yn]" type g and then the name of the newsgroup you flew past. Don't press return after the g, immediately enter the newsgroup name. Then, when it says 0 news articles, etc, enter y. Then, do a 'P' at the next prompt. I also skip an article, yours was just one of them, that is the last in the newsgroup. I Hope this helps, as it works for me. -- ihnp4------\ harvard-\ \ Mr. Video seismo!uwvax!nicmad!brown topaz-/ / decvax------/
