[net.news] Extended expiration dates

     Please, if this is put in, provide a way to turn it off!

     Besides, there are *some* things (though a very few) which *should*
stay around for a long time.  For example, spaf's "new users" posting to
net.announce  (it is  spaf's,  isn't it?)  should stick around until  he
makes another one.   Perhaps another mechanism could  be worked out  for
postings which form a family, but only the  latest one  of  which should
remain (a "Supersedes:" line maybe?).
